Happy Friday, Hip Hop & Hookah Fam!

I hope you’ve had a great week (but if you haven’t had a great week, I declare a pox on whoever or whatever was responsible for fucking with your vibe!)

I know I had quite a busy week myself and I am looking forward to chilling as much as I can over the weekend. You girl has been liberated from “corporate” hell for an entire month now, and while there has been a significant drop in stress and anxiety levels, the grind has still been real.

This past Monday on Hip Hop & Hookah I launched what will become a weekly published listing events and activities centered around #TheCulture going on in and around #Duval called || Going Down in Duval ||. Click the link to check out what’s going on for the rest of this week and keep an eye out next Monday for a list of next week’s events.

This week’s Mid-Week Musing was dedicated to our brother in rhyme, Paten Locke, who is currently battling with stage 4 cancer. While the news has been devastating to much of the Duval community and beyond, it is truly inspiring that in the three days since Daisey Traynham - aka Lady Daisey of FullPlateFam - has organized and launched the Planet Locke Fund, already $8,475 has been raised towards the $20,000 goal! (at the time of this publication)

We here at Hip Hop & Hookah have so much love and respect for our homie and we want to help spread the word - please give what you can to help Paten and his loved ones to do what they can to support him and make his time as comfortable as possible.
