Breathtaking Views for FKJ's Salar de Uyuni Performance by Cercle
FKJ is hands down one of my favorite musicians out right now! His creative ability to not only play every instrument, but play them, loop them and transform them into funky jazzhop tracks still amazes me. I can’t play an instrument so it probably amazes me more than someone from band class, but the skill level that he plays these instruments should be amazing to most!
FKJ recently teamed up with Cercle and headed to Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni, the worlds largest salt flats, to create a special live performance! I have seen FKJ twice and both times I have been blown away by the imagination that goes behind the visual piece FKJ always adds to his sets. Recently in DC I caught him at the 930 Club he incorporated three transparent projector screens that would rise and drop to add visual effects to the show in front of him. I had never seen anything like it!
The performance with Cercle is another mind blowing visual experience. The views in the performance with the perfect melodic back drop make this one of the most visually appealing performances I have ever seen!
The video is an Hour and a Half….that is a FULL performance that he is. giving us basically for free! He plays some songs you might recognize but in ht interview with Cercle he talks about just feeling the environment and playing music he thought matched the ambiance!
FKJ’s Freshman Album ‘French Kiwi Juice’ released in March of 2017 but he has released many singles since then! Definitely a good listen and comes highly recommended! Check out the Performance at Salar de Uyuni and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
